Phonphoresis

 

Phonophoresis is a skin treatment utilising ultrasound. Sound waves enhance the absorption of medication through the lower part of the skin and increase the effectiveness of certain medicines that are used. It stimulates blood circulation which is in helpful removing waste products via the lymphatic system of the skin; e.g. treatment with an application of vitamin A acid for scars, broken lines around the stomach, thighs, breasts or buttocks. In addition, treatment with ginseng, pueraria mirifica and/or estradiol can be used to firm or increase breast size. Phonophoresis should, initially, be used frequently with the frequency of treatments then decreasing.
