Hua Hin is a beach resort just a few hours' drive or 4 hours by train from Bangkok and offers 5klms of beaches. Once a small fishing village, Hua Hin is developing with the influx of foreign tourists. There are now some of the major chain hotels like Sofitel in Hua Hin. The surf is safe for swimming all year with water sports like sailing, jet skiing and kite surfing being popular. Overall Hua Hin is still a fairly quiet area, and still a place to get away from it all. There is a good variety of food and a range of accommodation from budget to first class. A great getaway for a few nights.
